Kathy Temean is an author and award winning artist/illustrator, who has done commissioned art for many corporations, such as, The McDonald’s Corporation and numerous individuals in the Mid-Atlantic Region. As a trained artist and writer, she heads up the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators in New Jersey as Regional Advisor. Her illustrations and writing appear regularly in Sprouts Magazine, Highlights for Children Magazine, Boys’ Quest Magazine, Fun for Kidz Magazine, Guidepost for Kids, Hullabaloo Magazine, Ocean County Magazine and the Philadelphia Inquirer and in many galleries across the Northeast. Kathy’s new activity book titled “Horseplay,” teaches children the importance of the horse throughout history, while making the learning experience fun. The Graphic Artists Guild is using Kathy’s “Babes on Beach” on this year’s calendar.
When Kathy is not busy in her art studio, writing children’s books or working with other writers and illustrators, she is busy working with adults and children teaching art, Photoshop, Web Design and conducting school visits and other speaking engagements.
