The Hedgehog is a noisy small
animal with stiff spikey spines.
They sleep through the winter
and are most active during the
night. When danger strikes they
roll up into a prickly ball, which
makes it almost impossible for
a predator to eat them. Instead
of a tasty meal their attacker
gets a snoot full of spines.
Would you like to draw a hedgehog?
If you can draw a circle you can draw
a hedgehog. Follow the directions
below and see.
- Draw a large oval (green),
then add a smaller oval (blue)
towards
the bottom of the large oval.
Then add a smaller oval
as pictured
by the pink line with two tiny ovals for
Mr. Hedgehog's ears.
2. Curve a line in from both sides of the pink oval. Draw a little circle at the bottom of the pink oval, then two curved lines going across the face. See Example 1. Draw a line from the blue line down to the green and a line down from the face to the green line to make his feet. See Example 1.
- Erase the overlapping lines -
See picture below. Add lines for
eyes and jagged lines for claws.
Draw ovals inside ears. Finish
by drawing spikey spines as in
the picture above.
